This week’s Geek Chic is a sad one, but we’ll still find ways to celebrate the life of a legend in style. Mr. Wes Craven gave us so many films to love, so today I’ve highlighted a few of my personal favorites in fashion.

One of our favorite things to do on SisterGeeks, is write our 10 Reasons. Usually, they’re a silly ode to some show we love or a guy we think is “super hot”. But today, I’ll be honoring an all around fantastic gentleman- Mr. Wes Craven.

Yesterday, we lost one of the greats:

Mr. Wes Craven.

Craven was best known for creating and directing both the Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream franchises. Craven also wrote/directed cult classics including The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left, and Swamp Thing. More recently he Wrote/Produced/Directed My Soul to Take and was producing the Scream series on MTV- my personal guilty pleasure.

He passed away of brain cancer in his home on Sunday, August 30th, 2015.

Mr. Craven, you will be missed. Thank you for all the screams and the laughs. And rest in peace, sir.
